Your current medical group, Bakersfield Family Medical Group (BFMG), affiliated with Heritage Provider Network (HPN) would like to inform you of an important change that may affect your healthcare coverage. HPN/BFMG received a termination notice from your Medicare Advantage health insurance provider, Anthem Blue Cross, effective March 31, 2026.

This means that starting on April 1, 2026, BFMG will no longer be able to provide care to you under Anthem, unless Anthem reaches an agreement with HPN prior to April 1. While both organizations continue to negotiate with the intent of reaching an agreement, we want to make sure you are aware of the potential disruption to receiving care from us and other contracted specialists that you may see.

Bakersfield Family Medical Group Announces New Northwest Office Location

We are pleased to announce that Bakersfield Family Medical Group’s Northwest clinic is moving! Starting November 3, 2025, we will be welcoming both new and existing patients to our new location at: 8501 Brimhall Rd, Suite 300, Bakersfield, CA 93312

As part of this move, Dr. Don Tran and Dr. Rowena Ventayan will be transitioning from our current Northwest location on Calloway Drive to the new Northwest location located at 8501 Brimhall Rd, Suite 300, Bakersfield, CA 93312.

We are also excited to welcome Dr. David Christian and Pamela Whiteley, PA-C to our team at the new Northwest clinic.

Seniors 65+ are invited to join us for Senior Activities this summer! BFMG offers a variety of events for the local senior community. All events are FREE and open to the public! Coffee Club: This is a social hour featuring coffee and donuts. February 6, March 6, Arts & Crafts: Attendees are provided with a self-contained Arts & Craft project that they can complete on site or take home, and a snack.
